Rotary Citation

The Rotary Club of Drysdale was recognised for it’s contribution during 2018/19 to the goals of Rotary International. The Club seized the many opportunities offered by Rotary’s theme to be the inspiration in the local and international community.

The Club undertook many projects in conjunction with other local community groups. For example, tree planting at Point Richard Reserve with the Friends Group; Men’s Health awareness with Bellarine Community Health; Barwon Health Rotary Volunteer Patient Transport and Walk for Johno fundraiser for the Heart Foundation.

The Club also provided assistance to youth through support for Bellarine Schools Ministry, Headspace Drysdale and donations to local schools. Drysdale Rotary Club also provides mentorship programs for students to study art and glass works as well as awards for community service at St Ignatius College. The Club also assisted in funding the Science and Engineering Challenge.

The Club’s contribution towards the eradication of polio and establishment of a micro-economic chicken farm in Nepal was also recognised.
