Conditions of Entry

  1. A fee of $15.00 will be payable for the first exhibit and $10 for each subsequent exhibit provided each are within the maximum dimensions of 1 metre (either length or width) including framing.

  2. Any paintings of greater dimension will incur an additional fee of $5 (LIMIT of 4)

  3. Paintings and Drawings etc must be framed and provided with picture wire and D-rings firmly attached approximately a third from the top on either side. Unframed stretched canvas are acceptable if the sides of the canvas are painted. All entries must be able to be hung.

  4. All exhibits must be original work of the Exhibitor and available for sale. 

  5. Artists may enter as many exhibits as per guidelines, but quantity, location and display of exhibits will be at the discretion of the Art Show Committee.

  6. All care but no responsibility will be taken for loss or damage of any work. Exhibitors are advised to insure their entries against damage or loss.

  7. Note: The show may refuse to hang an entry if the framing is unsuitable or unsafe. This is to protect our volunteers & to prevent your artwork from being damaged if it falls off the stands. Works are hung from hooks in the stands. If the work has no picture wire, or cannot take the weight, we literally cannot hang it.

  8. Exhibits will be displayed at the organiser’s discretion. The Committee reserves the right not to hang any paintings and no discussion, verbally or in writing will be entered into. All works entered will be judged, but not necessarily hung. In the event that the number of entries exceeds the space available, entries will selected for hanging by the Judge.

  9. No refund on entry fees will be given for entries not presented.

  10. Paintings to be clearly marked with title, medium, exhibitor’s name and address and sale price on the back.

  11. Photographic material/digital prints are not accepted for this section of the expo.

  12. A commission of 25% will be charged for each sale and is applied to the fund raising activities of the Bellarine North Rotary Club Inc.

  13. Paintings must be delivered to the Christian College Stadium, Collins St., Drysdale between 10.00 am and 2.00 pm on Good Friday March 29th 

  14. The show will be serviced by Nobel Art Courier Telephone: 03 9792 1272 or Mobile: 0418 175 307. Their depots are at Doveton, Seaford and Burwood

  15. Best Local Content category - Any medium depicting the Bellarine / Geelong region landscape that is recognisable in the painting and reflected in the title. The region is roughly defined as the area bounded by the Bellarine Peninsula as far as Barwon Heads, Barrabool, Batesford and the You Yangs.

  16. Unsold exhibits must be collected between 4.30pm and 5.45 on Sunday 31st March. Exhibitors Copy of the Art Show Entry Form must be shown as proof of ownership when picking up unsold paintings.

  17. The Bellarine North Rotary Club reserves the right to photograph & reproduce entries for publicity purposes. This does NOT include the making or selling of copies of submitted work.

  18. For the proper conduct of the exhibition, the Bellarine North Rotary Club reserves the right at any time, to amend, alter or vary any of the conditions of entry or make any other adjustment which it thinks fit.
