Service to the Community
Rotary's primary function is to serve the local and international community. The many projects supported by this club include clean water projects in India, providing financial and logistic support for local projects to benefit the local community and supporting literacy projects in the local schools by providing readers and other aids. The Rotary Children's Park
The Rotary Children's Park is located at the northern (bay) end of Point Richards Road, Portarlington. It features The Portarlington Miniature Railway (designed and built by the Drysdale Rotary Club), free electric barbeques for the enjoyment of the community 24/7, a children's playgound and a boat ramp.
The Rotary Easter Art Show
This major Art Show runs each year over the Easter weekend at the Leopold Primary School (L.I.N.C.) Centre, Kensington Road, Leopold. Around 500 paintings are on display by a wide range of well-known and lesser-known artists.
Drysdale and Surrounding Districts
Drysdale is the major commercial centre on the Northern Bellarine Peninsula, 15 Km east of Geelong. The main activity is farming: particularly wine and olives.
